Michigan Birth Injury Attorney Serving Clients Throughout the U.S.
Taylor Goodwin is an associate attorney at ABC Law Centers (Reiter & Walsh, P.C.). Before joining the team in 2025, Taylor practiced 100% litigation and refined her litigation skills at a defense firm. While practicing there, Taylor routinely conducted extensive reviews of medical records, working with expert physicians to evaluate cases and prepared cases for trial.
As a former 28-weeker herself, Taylor has always been interested in the health of babies. After personally navigating two high-risk pregnancies and spending 100 days in the NICU with her 26-week old preemie, Taylor decided she wanted to turn her passion into reality and pivot to birth injury law to advocate for mothers, babies, and families going through similar experiences.
Inspired by their own NICU journey, Taylor and her husband Dylan created Niko in the NICU, an uplifting children’s book and 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Michigan families navigating neonatal intensive care. The initiative was inspired by their son, Niko, who spent 100 days in the NICU after being born at just 1 pound, 8 ounces. Through storytelling and meaningful support, Niko in the NICU provides comfort, resources, and hope to families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Taylor received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University with a double major in Public Policy and Spanish in 2016, and then went on to attend Michigan State University College of Law, from which she graduated in 2019. While in law school, Taylor participated in the Immigration Law Clinic and was a member of the nationally winning MSU Law Arbitration Team. Taylor had a litigation-focus while in law school, receiving the excellence in oral advocacy scholarship and graduating with the distinguished Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Certification. Taylor has been chosen as a Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023 and 2024.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her two sons and husband, Dylan, skiing, and spending time outside. Taylor is actively involved in The Detroit-Area March of Dimes and The Preeclampsia Foundation.
