- Bright Side Dental: They have locations in many Michigan cities, and offer specialized dentistry services to patients with special needs such as developmental disabilities and oral motor dysfunction.
- The Detroit Medical Center (DMC): The DMC has nine locations in Michigan. For more information on their services, please visit this page.

The Arc: The Arc is a national nonprofit that serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They provide a lot of useful information about future planning, insurance options, social security benefits, etc.

Disability Determination Services: There are four government-run DDS offices in the state of Michigan; they are located in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Traverse City. The DDS determines the eligibility of Michigan residents to collect benefits under the Social Security disability programs.

Social Security Administration: This site offers advice regarding Social Security Disability benefits.

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP): This is a national nonprofit with a state branch in Lansing and a city branch near Detroit. They provide many useful financial services, including the Representative Payee Program (in which specialists from UCP can be appointed by the Social Security Administration to receive and organize Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits on behalf of an individual whose disability precludes him/her from handling finances without the aid of another person) and the Benefits Counseling Program (which helps people receiving Social Security to understand and manage their finances).

The Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency: They offer free financial coaching and support to help families become financially independent and obtain or keep suitable housing (click here).They also supply low-income people with essential items and food, provide healthcare referrals to clients in need, and offer classes on nutrition (click here).

- The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP): This is a preschool program specifically designed to prepare children at risk for low educational attainment or developmental delays. There are many locations in Michigan.

- The Lincoln Center: Provides special education services to students on the autism spectrum disorder or with other cognitive/emotional difficulties. The Lincoln Center is overseen by Wyandotte Public Schools, but supports children from 17 different downriver communities.
- University of Michigan-Dearborn Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC): This program bases its curricula off of cutting-edge child development and early childhood education research, and welcomes students with disabilities.
- Wayne RESA: Wayne RESA is an educational service agency that monitors schools for special education program compliance.
- The Wayne-Westland Community Schools (WWCS): This district provides special education services to children from Westland, Wayne, Canton, Livonia, Garden City, Dearborn Heights, Inkster, and Romulus.

Note: For the sake of concision, the list of special education services provided by different school districts are far from complete. Public schools are required to take specific measures to accommodate students with disabilities, under the federal individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Rehabilitation Act (RA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). - Homes of Opportunity: Located in Saint Clair Shores, this organization partners with Macomb-Oakland Regional Center (MORC) and Community Living Services to provide residential support for people with developmental disabilities. Their aim is to enhance people’s independence and promote social integration.
- Integrated Living: A non-profit in Sterling Heights that provides community-based housing and in-home medical care for people with disabilities.
- Judson Center: A nonprofit human service agency in Southeast Michigan that provides a variety of services, including respite care, employment assistance, and resale assistive technologies.

- Warren Subsidized Housing: Macomb County residents have a number of options for finding subsidized housing. Subsidized housing facilities that accept people of any age with mobility impairments or other disabilities include Tivoli Manor, Warren Glenn Presbyterian Village, and Ukranian Village.

- The Arc of Oakland County Residential Options Resources: These resources list appropriate housing options for people with disabilities. Information includes affordable rental housing, independent living, home ownership, Section 8 (Housing Choice Vouchers), and more.
- Community Homes, Inc: Provides housing supports to adults with developmental disabilities. Community Homes offer an adult foster care program, licensed homes, and semi-independent homes in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
- Community Housing Network: This organization provides a number of useful services to help people with disabilities find suitable housing, including financial education, self-sufficiency workshops, and information on how to recognize and respond to housing discrimination.

The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Metropolitan Detroit: Offers the Teens All Together (TAT) program, which is a summer program for teens with special needs. Participants can broaden their networks, increase independence, strengthen job skills, and more.

- Real Skills Academy: A driver training facility in Waterford that specializes in training individuals with special needs. Driver evaluation services review clients’ medical histories, driving histories, physical and cognitive abilities, traffic safety knowledge, and adaptive equipment needs in order to properly train and certify drivers.

- The Guidance Center’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Program: provides Applied Behavioral Analysis, referrals for a variety of therapies and respite care, employment support, and more. They serve people of all ages.
- Judson Center: A nonprofit human service agency in southeast Michigan that provides a variety of services, including respite care, employment assistance, and resale assistive technologies.
- Macomb-Oakland Regional Center (MORC), Inc.: A human resource agency that assists people with intellectual and physical disabilities. They offer family home and independent living support, in addition to group living facilities.
- Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute: A program through Wayne State University that provides community services and support, research and information, and interdisciplinary education in order to improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities.
- Starfish Family Services: This organization provides behavioral health services for those with intellectual and developmental delays, as well as a variety of other programs that may be of use to people with cerebral palsy.
- Summer Learning Individualized Developmental Experiences (SLIDE): A summer learning program for children with various special needs requiring speech therapy, language therapy, occupational therapy, or special education. SLIDE has two different locations, one in Detroit, and one in Metro East. The Detroit program is free of charge.
- United Cerebral Palsy (UCP): This is a national nonprofit with a state branch in Lansing and a city branch near Detroit. They work to educate, advocate for, and provide services to people with cerebral palsy and a variety of other disabilities. Each day, they support more than 176,000 people.
- VSA Michigan (VSAMI): This is the Michigan chapter of the International Organization on Arts and Disability, an agency that coordinates arts programs for people with disabilities. VSA Michigan promotes creativity because involvement in the arts can have a therapeutic value and increase societal inclusion.
- Wayne State University Developmental Disabilities Institute: This organization supports people with developmental disabilities through community programs, education, and research.
- The Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency: This agency helps low- and moderate-income individuals and families throughout the Downriver area. Services include healthcare referrals, financial planning help, educational programs that welcome children with disabilities, and much more.
- The Westland Committee on Disability Concerns: This committee conducts research and works on educational initiatives to prevent discrimination and promote accessibility.

- Blue Water Center for Independent Living: The Blue Water Center helps people with disabilities live independently. They offer youth transition programs, advocacy services, summer leadership training, and more.
- Harbor Impact Ministries, Kimball: A community center that provides food, clothing, healthcare, job application assistance, and many other services.
