Jesse Reiter and Rebecca Walsh, partners at ABC Law Centers (Reiter & Walsh, P.C.), moderated and spoke at the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ)’s 17th annual Medical Malpractice seminar on January 17th, 2020. The MAJ, an organization that champions the rights of people injured by malpractice or negligence, has been an integral part of Jesse and Rebecca’s careers. Both are executive board members, in addition to the myriad of other roles they’ve held in the organization.
Jesse, a past MAJ president, has been a moderator at the convention for the past 17 years. The annual seminar covers a variety of topics, including new changes and challenges to medical malpractice law. Medical malpractice law has not remained static by any means, and this seminar offers an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve.
Rebecca has been an elected Michigan delegate to the American Association of Justice (AAJ) since 2014, as well as a member of the MAJ executive board for the past 13 years. She is a frequent lecturer and guest speaker at MAJ events. At this year’s convention, she presented “The New Court Rules – How to Make Them Work for You,” helping other attorneys navigate new procedural changes in the law.
The seminar also included speakers like nationally-acclaimed trial lawyer Jonathan H. Lomurro, co-moderator Judy Suskind, and more. The attorneys discussed new ways to parse crucial data in their cases, among other topics. These discussions help attorneys utilize innovative methods in the field and continue to best serve their clients.
