Rebecca Walsh Named Co-Editor of Birth Trauma Litigation Group Newsletter

We are pleased to announce that one of our partners, Rebecca Walsh, is now a co-editor of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group (BTLG) Newsletter

The BTLG is a subgroup of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and was formed in 1989. Members are respected lawyers in the field of birth trauma litigation. The BTLG runs meetings and events at AAJ conventions, as well as networking opportunities throughout the year. Its members frequently share information and work collaboratively. All of the attorneys at ABC Law Centers are members of the BTLG. Firm owner Jesse Reiter has also served in a variety of leadership positions within the BTLG, including as Chair.

The BTLG Newsletter provides members with important updates about BTLG events, as well as cutting-edge information on obstetrics, neonatology, and birth trauma litigation.

Our attorneys and staff frequently publish in the BTLG Newsletter. Here are a few recent examples:

  • “The Impact of Therapeutic Hypothermia on Newborns with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy.” February 2019 BTLG Newsletter
  • “Averting Preterm Birth: The Right Care Gives the Best Results.” July 2017 BTLG Newsletter.
  • “Management of Category II Fetal Heart Tracings: Timing Delivery to Avoid HIE.” February 2017 BTLG Newsletter.

About ABC Law Centers

ABC Law Centers was established to focus exclusively on birth injury cases. A “birth injury” is any type of harm to a baby that occurs just before, during, or after birth. This includes issues such as oxygen deprivation, infection, and trauma. While some children with birth injuries make a complete recovery, others develop disabilities such as cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

If a birth injury/subsequent disability could have been prevented with proper care, then it constitutes medical malpractice. Settlements from birth injury cases can cover the costs of lifelong treatment, care, and other crucial resources.

If you believe you may have a birth injury case for your child, please contact us today to learn more. We are happy to talk to you free of any obligation or charge. In fact, clients pay nothing throughout the entire legal process unless we win.
