The ABC 4 KIDZ Charity

Award Winning Michigan Cerebral Palsy Lawyers Helping Children with Cerebral Palsy & other Birth Injuries in Michigan, Ohio, Washington, D.C. & All 50 States

ABC 4 KIDZ is a Bloomfield Hills, Michigan based charity that provides medical equipment and camp trips for special needs children throughout the country whose families cannot afford them.  Providing these crucial items as well as fun and therapeutic camp trips can help make the lives of these special children more comfortable and enjoyable.  Research shows that aggressive therapy and regular performance of daily activities can provide enormous benefits for a child who has a disability such as cerebral palsy.  Certain types of equipment can greatly facilitate (and in some cases be essential for) physical therapy and performance of regular daily activities.

Some of the many items the charity will provide include wheelchairs, orthopedic braces, walkers, prostheses, eyeglasses and hearing aids.  In addition, there are incredible camps throughout the country that are available for kids with just about any disability, including cerebral palsy.  Some camps are far away from a child’s home and some are very costly.  ABC 4 KIDZ wants to help as many children as possible experience the joys and therapeutic benefits of summer camp.

MICHIGAN CEREBRAL PALSY LAWYERS HELPING CHILDREN FOR ALMOST 3 DECADES

The concept of the charity arose from the frustrations felt by cerebral palsy lawyers Jesse Reiter and Rebecca Walsh.  Jesse and Rebecca have been helping children with cerebral palsy and special needs for over 28 years.  Birth injury cases can take years, but the needs of these special children are immediate.  Every child deserves to be as happy as possible, and early treatment and therapy is critical in a child’s quest to reach her highest level of physical performance.  It is very sad when children with cerebral palsy and special needs do not have access to medical devices and other items they need in order to have a full and healthy life.  Delays in access to important devices can indeed hinder a child’s progress.  Some children have birth injuries that were not caused by medical negligence, and their families quite simply do not have the resources to obtain important equipment and items their special children need.  Other children that are involved in litigation usually have to wait until the end of the trial or until a good settlement offer is made before they have access to compensation for their injuries.  Whatever the reason, Jesse and Rebecca do not want to see a single special needs child go without necessary medical devices and life-enhancing equipment.

ABC 4 KIDZ’s mission is to raise funds to help as many children as possible have access to medical devices, important equipment and therapeuticAbc 4 Kidz, a charity that helps children who have cerebral palsy & special needs camps. Future fundraising events include activities at the zoo, fine restaurants and Tigers baseball games.  Funds collected by the charity will be distributed for 100% use since all board and committee members are volunteers.  ABC 4 KIDZ will work with suppliers to get reduced pricing and will purchase equipment and pay for camp costs directly.

The ABC 4 KIDZ website will be live very soon, and it will include details of the charity, how people can volunteer and dontate, and a list of exciting fundraising events.
