Plaintiff was pregnant with twins when she went into preterm labor. She was treated with magnesium sulfate to prolong the pregnancy, and steroids to help the fetal lungs mature. The mother was released, but soon returned to the hospital after falling on her front porch. She was examined, but doctors could find nothing wrong and released her.
